UTUK Driver App (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information when you register and use our App as a driver. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your rights regarding your information. This Policy applies to all drivers who download and install the UTUK Driver App, use our services, and register an account. It also applies to any data we collect via the App, our servers, or third-party integrations.
By registering or using the App you consent to the practices described herein. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
When you register with and use the UTUK Driver App, we may collect the following categories of data:
Your full name, phone number, email address, profile photo.
Driver’s licence or permit details, vehicle registration details, vehicle make/model, vehicle licence plate/number.
Bank account or payment details (for driver payouts).
Real-time GPS or location data while you are active in the App (to facilitate ride-requests, navigation, pickups, drop-offs).
Your ride history (trips accepted, trips completed/declined, ratings, feedback).
App usage logs (when you log-in/out, session times, crash logs).
Device model, operating system version, IP address, application version.
If applicable, any identifiers or device-specific identifiers used for analytics, fraud prevention or safety monitoring.
If you grant any sensor or permission (e.g., microphone, camera, motion) we will disclose that separately at runtime.
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
Verifying your identity and eligibility as a driver (licence check, vehicle check).
Connecting you to passengers and processing ride-requests (matching you, dispatching rides).
Navigation and route-optimisation (providing turn-by-turn directions, locating passengers).
Sending ride-related notifications (ride assigned, pickup, drop-off, earnings updates).
Calculating and processing your driver earnings/payouts (bank transfers, invoices).
Improving our App performance, user experience, analytics, bug-fixing and monitoring.
Compliance with legal obligations, accident/incident investigations, responding to law-enforcement requests.
Safety and security features (driver/passenger safety, driver rating, fraud monitoring).
We do not sell your personal information. However, we may share your data under the following circumstances:
To the extent required for ride coordination: passenger will see limited information such as your name, vehicle make/model, licence plate number, and live GPS location.
Payment processors (for payouts).
Cloud hosting, technical support, data analytics providers.
Map / navigation providers (e.g., Google Maps or equivalent).
Insurance or vehicle-maintenance partners (if you opt-in or we offer promotional discounts).
With law-enforcement, regulatory or governmental authorities when required by law or to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
In the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets the information may be transferred (subject to standard confidentiality obligations).
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational security measures to safeguard your data (for example: encryption in transit and at rest, secure access controls, periodic assessments). However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100 % secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your account and associated data as long as your driver account is active. After account deletion or termination, we will retain certain data as necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, defend legal claims, or for fraud prevention. The retention period will be clearly specified in the separate “Data Retention Schedule” on request.
As a driver, you have the following rights (to the extent applicable under local law):
Access and obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Update or correct inaccuracies in your information.

Withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing (where applicable).
Lodge complaints with a supervisory regulator if you believe your rights are violated.
The App may integrate with third-party services (for example: navigation/map services like Google Maps SDK, payment gateways). These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them before using those features.
The UTUK Driver App is intended for drivers aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under the age of 18. If you believe we have collected data about a minor, please contact us and we will delete the data as required.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example: if we add new features, change data practices, or due to regulatory changes). We will post the updated version with a revised “Last Updated” date. If the changes are significant, we may provide additional notice within the App or via email.
